Zhu Shiping

Zhu Shiping is the Vice president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), member of the Canadian Academy of engineering and member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering of Zhejiang University with a Bachelors Degree of Engineering. He went to McMaster University for further studies in 1985 and was taught by Prof. Hamielec, one of the worlds founding fathers of polymer reaction engineering. He obtained a doctorate in 1991, was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials in 1994, was promoted to Associate Professor on a tenured basis in 1998, was appointed as Professor of Canadian Scientific Research Lecture and served as Director of the Chemical Engineering from 2009 to 2017.
